OK… perhaps it is more of a lustfull thing. I am totally in love lust with Shakira.
I explained to Maria that should Shakira decide to come to Costa Rica searching desperately for a 60+, overweight Gringo with whom she could spend her declining years, I would have to consider leaving my wonderful wife… forthwith. Skakira is arguable THE sexiest person of the female persuasion anywhere on the face of the earth.
She is about 30, gorgeous, from Columbia, and can do things with her voice AND her body that quite frankly are not normal. It is the body stuff that sort or causes those sleepless nights.
Shakira is actually Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, born in Barranquilla, Colombia on February 2, 1977 of a Columbian mother and a Lebanese father. She is known simply as Shakira (the Arabic translation meaning “Woman of Grace”).

The title of the song is “Hips Don’t Lie”, and I am here to tell you that HER hips will embed themselves in your mind and other locations whether you are of the male or female persuasion. Those hips are incapable of untruths!
You can have your Madonna, Brittany, whom-evers… for they are but pretenders, wannabes, and frankly… not very good ones when compared to the real thing.
Maria seems to not put much credence in my threat to leave her should Shakira come aknockin’, probably with good cause. The odds are a tad low that Shakira would ever become that desperate. That, or maybe she has some secret performer stuck in her mind.

Are there intelligible words to this song? is there a message benefitting the world at large? like a joan baez song? could you possibly be More Shallow than my husband and teenage boys? ahhh, it turns out, No. All equally shallow. I am so disillusioned. But realistic. I\’m going to do my situps. 1000\’s of them.

However, only men can understand them. Please show the video to your husband and your boyz and they can translate for you.
As for being shallow… I am proud to say I cultivate shallowness when it comes to Shakira, but strive for higher ideals in real life.
As for Joan? Nice lady… not overly bright though … and if it were not for a young Bob Dylan, Woody Guthrie, and a few country folk from the 1800’s, she would never have sung a note in public. Her poetry WAS lousy and she couldn’t write music if her life depended on it.
However, as an honor to you, I am listening right this moment to a little something from her early years.

Well Tim, my American husband shares the same taste with you and I am so jealous (as the tica I am). He is ALWAYS looking for Shakira anywhere he goes and I have bad news for you, he also wants to retire with her if she decided to come live here. The bad news for both of you is that she will retire in a beautiful mansion away from here with a gorgeous looking guy and your wife and I will have to live with you guys for the rest of whatever is left of your lives. I can almost 100% assure you that your husband does NOT wish to retire with Shakira.
Of course I do not KNOW that, but I suspect he has other… ummm.. intentions that, while they may include a rocking chair, might not be a great deal of sitting!
We men can be shallow piggies… but most of us are realistic shallow piggies! Thus I can pretty much assure you that, like me, he is totally in love with the beautiful Tica he HAS and is most likely happy as a clam with you!
Further, if Shakira were to EVER show up on our doorsteps,you would find it nothing less than hilarious as both your husband and I would probably trip over our own tongues trying to be suave and debonair but of course we would act the 100% dork.
That would, of course in MY case, immediately follow the heart attack.

Well, I’m a strait lady younger than Shakira, and I agree Tim, she is worth lusting over. Not only in body and voice, but she has always seemed to me to be a beautiful personality to boot.
